Amy Schroder graduated from the University of California at Irvine magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science. While at UCI, Amy was a member of the UCI Law forum and continues to support the Alumni Association and its effort to introduce undergraduates to the importance of the ethical practice of law.
After graduating from UCI, Amy attended Chapman University School of Law in Orange. At Chapman, Amy was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and worked as an editor for the Lexus Journal of Law and Policy. Amy earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and passed the California State Bar exam on her first attempt. Amy continued her education, receiving a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Trial Advocacy from Chapman University School of Law.

Following law school, Amy worked as a prosecutor for the Orange County District Attorney. As a Deputy D.A., Amy prosecuted numerous felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. After leaving the prosecutor’s office, Amy entered private practice before relocating to the Central Coast of California. With over a decade of legal experience in criminal justice as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, Amy prides herself on building relationships with her colleagues and court staff. She has represented clients in hundreds of criminal cases, including DUI cases, and dedicates herself to every case.
Amy also dedicates herself to serving her legal community. In addition to volunteering as an Attorney-Coach for the Constitutional Rights Foundation Mock Trial Program, Amy has been an active member of numerous Bar Associations, including, the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, San Luis Obispo County Bar Association, and San Luis Obispo County Criminal Defense Bar. She has previously served on the boards of the West Orange County Bar Association and the William P. Gray Legion Lex American Inn of Court.
